Steel & Grass

is a Brooklyn based band that defies definition. Refusing to be labeled Americana, power pop, blues, country, bluegrass, etc…they are all of this and much more.  Founded by Stephanie Marie, Glenn Spivack and David Pybas, Steel & Grass is the best of all musical worlds. You’ll find singer/songwriter Stephanie Marie on acoustic guitar and occasional ukulele, with local legendary luminaries Glenn Spivack, singer/songwriter/pedal steel, David Pybas, guitar, Jeff Gordon, bass; and Scott Dennis, drums.

Steel & Grass has been playing the local NYC alt-country circuit for just about a year now, but they have made an enormous impact on the music scene already, thanks to the obvious bond between each and every member of the band. Their ability to play as such a tight band is second only to the effervescent personality Stephanie Marie brings to the stage.  She makes you feel like you’re her friend and part of the whole experience. Both she and Glenn Spivack have a plethora of original music that ranges from the very rawest of honest emotion to the angry, fist-in-the-air tune that gets you out of your seat and your head.

The band has decided it’s high time to bring their music on the road, which can mean down the road a ways, or anywhere people have a need to have some fun and enjoy life, along with Steel & Grass.
